Job Description:

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalised care and support tailored to their specific needs and goals. Applicants must have community services qualifications (or willingness to obtain), excellent availability, and a compassionate nature.

Job Responsibility:

Delivering high-quality support services to customers with disabilities
assisting clients in their daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and skill development
promoting community integration and supporting clients in accessing social and recreational activities
collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans
encouraging independence and empowering clients to achieve personal goals
advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Requirements:

Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent ideal or willing to obtain
6 months of experience required
level of fitness for manual handling
full and flexible availability across a 24/7 rotating roster
availability for sleepovers and active nights
ability to work weekend day shifts
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
current and valid CPR and First Aid certificate
full driver’s license
valid work rights in Australia
successful completion of the NDIS Quality, Safety & You module
passion for human rights
empathetic and compassionate nature
excellent communication skills
enthusiastic team player.

Nice to have:

Experience in disability support services
multitasking skills during busy shifts.
