Job Responsibility:

  • Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges
  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Utilise your personal experience to inspire and connect with young individuals
  • Support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent or working towards
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State)
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire
  • Availability for 24/7 rotating roster including weekends & sleepover shifts
