Job Description:

Expression of interest for Support Worker in Children's Services located in various Gold Coast locations. Work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma as part of a high performing Support Team delivering positive customer experience to those in care.

Job Responsibility:

Provide direct care within a residential setting
Ensure a safe and nurturing home-like environment
Promote positive family relationships
Work within a trauma-informed framework

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent or working towards
Valid Australian full driver's licence
Valid Australian working rights
Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
Hold or willing to obtain Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model including awake nights and sleepovers

Nice to have:

Passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
Experience working within a trauma-informed framework
Resilience to work with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours
