Job Description:

This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to optimize supply chain processes and manage impactful projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in operational settings and demonstrate a strong ability to enhance efficiencies using advanced methodologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee supply chain operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth processes and effective resource utilization
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to address critical operational challenges and push forward key initiatives
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement using advanced tools such as Excel
  • Lead client engagement efforts and drive change management strategies to ensure successful project implementation
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or Industrial Engineering principles to optimize workflows and enhance productivity
  • Manage inventory, production processes, shipping, receiving, and maintenance activities to support operational goals
  • Escalate risks and issues promptly, implementing solutions to maintain project timelines
  • Develop strategies for improving supply chain efficiency while meeting organizational objectives
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in defense manufacturing environments

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE CURRENT/ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required for this position
  • Manager-level candidates should possess 7-10 years of relevant experience, while entry-level candidates need 2-3 years of experience
  • Experience in defense manufacturing environments such as major aerospace or defense organizations is highly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in inventory management, production processes, logistics, and equipment maintenance
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, with the ability to identify and resolve risks effectively
  • Advanced analytical skills, especially in Excel, to evaluate and improve key performance metrics
  • Certification or experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or Industrial Engineering methodologies is a plus
