Job Description:

Belstaff is searching for a Supervisor to join the team. The purpose is to work closely with and supervise the team on the shop floor daily, driving sales, coaching and mentoring to ensure achievement of set sales and profit targets. The role acts as a sales and customer service role model, includes training and developing the team for budget goals and service excellence, and ensuring visual merchandise reflects the brand vision. The role will assume some Store Management duties when they are absent. This role is on a 40-hour per-week contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with and supervise the team on the shop floor daily
  • Drive sales, coach and mentor team to achieve sales/profit targets
  • Act as a role model in sales and customer service
  • Train and develop the team to deliver budget goals and customer service excellence
  • Ensure visual merchandise presentation reflects brand vision and meets high standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sales team, and local business community
  • Assume some duties of Store Management when they are absent
  • Ensure the store is run to the highest standards and operational efficiency
  • Ensure the client is the main focus for staff at all times
  • Create a dynamic and positive team environment

  • Ensure stock levels are maximised on the shop floor
  • Promote key products and maintain awareness of current press
  • Assist in planning and co-ordinating in-store promotional events
  • Oversee training and coaching for sales standards
  • Motivate sales consultants to meet targets
  • Exceed personal monthly KPIs
  • Assist in achievement of Store KPIs
  • Oversee achievement of sales consultants' KPIs
  • Meet with team and Store Manager monthly to discuss progression
  • Ensure merchandising is in line with Belstaff image and commercial objectives
  • Ensure stock is correctly labelled, tagged, and available
  • Ensure stock is in the best possible condition for sale
  • Maintain team understanding of VM standards
  • Assist in remerchandising the store
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping
  • Complete administrative tasks within required timelines
  • Complete management admin tasks for holiday cover
  • Hold regular team briefing sessions
  • Ensure communication flow with Team and Store Management
  • Be aware of all company communications
  • Daily task planning & ensuring completion of tasks
  • Understand how to produce monthly staffing schedules for holiday cover
  • Be aware of and follow all company rules and HSE legislation
  • Ensure team follows company rules and HSE legislation
  • Be aware of Company, Store Security, cash handling and key holding procedures
  • Ensure team knows how to use tagging & other security systems
  • Ensure all stock is protected
  • Be alert to the possibility of theft
  • Enforce standards of storing stock
  • Participate in and co-ordinate all audits and counts
  • Ensure minimal shrinkage
  • Respond to any reasonable request by Management
  • Undertake further duties as skills allow
  • Liaise with Store Manager on day to day decisions
  • Run the store in absence of the Store manager

Requirements:

  • Experience supervising a team on a shop floor
  • Ability to drive sales and achieve sales/profit targets
  • Experience coaching and mentoring a sales team
  • Strong customer service skills, exceeding premium/luxury retail benchmarks
  • Knowledge of product care, aftersales, and stock availability
  • Knowledge of the brand's history and positioning
  • Ability to handle customer complaints effectively
  • Understanding of product sell-through and commercial stock management
  • Ability to analyze sales patterns and propose performance-enhancing actions
  • Ability to build and maintain a personal client book
  • Experience in visual merchandising to brand standards
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks (sales reports, banking sheets, HR documentation)
  • Strong communication skills for team briefings
  • Experience in task planning and staff scheduling
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules and legislation
  • Awareness of security, cash handling, and stock protection procedures
  • Ability to participate in stock audits and counts
  • Ability to make decisions and run the store in the manager's absence
  • Petty cash control experience
