Job Responsibility:

  • Works closely with Project Superintendent and Project Manager, and home office Electrical Procurement Coordinator as required, in formulating, discussing and finalizing the overall plan of operations, job layout, job schedule, etc.
  • Manages the day-to-day work of crafts and subcontractors in field, delegates work through foreman and/or subcontractor representatives
  • Must work with subcontractors of different cultures and languages
  • Maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule
  • Reviews plans and specifications of job, job budget and estimate with project manager and project superintendent to ensure that quantities, values, manpower requirements and deliveries of various divisions of job are understood
  • Participates in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors
  • Assists in preparation of plan at beginning of job for receiving, storing and handling materials as required
  • Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required
  • Maintains best possible relationship with owner and architectural-engineering firm associated with job
  • Strives to develop spirit of cooperation and respect between Caddell and representatives of the other partners on the project
  • Performs additional assignments per Project Manager’s and Project Superintendent’s direction

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school/GED and 15 years total construction management experience (with at least five years design/build experience with electrical systems) required
  • Four-year degree in building science, construction management or engineering and 10 years total construction management experience (with minimum five years design/build experience with electrical systems) preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills required
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems required
  • Excellent technical and management skills
