Summer technologist - Microstructural Analysis

• Carry out advanced material investigations and data analyses
• Be responsible for a part of a research project aimed at optimizing alloy design and production route
• Carry out microstructure analysis
• Operate a SEM
• Use various image analysis techniques
• Verify findings against thermodynamic modelling
• Perform thermodynamic modelling
• Take part in lectures and study visits

• Studying for a bachelor's or master's degree
• Interest in technology and people
• Curious, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient personality
• Ability to work in a group and ask for help
• Good oral and written skills in Swedish and English
• Studying metallurgy, materials technology, mechanical engineering, technical physics, or similar
• Progressed 3-4 years in education or started master's degree
• Taken courses in materials design
• Knowledge about Matlab and Thermo-Calc is an advantage
