As a Submarine Cable Senior Enginee, you will be focused on managing submarine cable systems and facilities at the Tympaki Station in Crete, Greece, ensuring operational readiness and customer service quality. The role involves supervision, incident management, and collaboration across various teams (Station Staff Cable Noc, Station customers, Submarine, Deployment & Operations teams) to maintain network stability and support submarine cable operations. Be the main responsible in the station as a Station manager role. The role involves leading by example and supporting adhoc projects as and when necessary.
Job Responsibility:
Be the main contact for the Station as Station Manager role
Supervision and manage of submarine equipment in the Cable Stations-Station routines
Attend incidences when on call
Being able to Manage, support, maintain and control the NOC when need and the cable station equipments
Project manager for new built and Supervision and manage the facilities in the station to detect any malfunction and prevent outages for the submarine equipment
Coordinate and assist for maintenance periodical operations of the facilities as well as coordinate new built budget and vendors
Comply with the Plan of work, deriverables and Budget
Maintain knowledge and experience of the various aspects of the submarine equipment management
Maintain relationship with submarine Customers and Submarine engineering team as well as Deployment team
Support on submarine cuts
Provide measures, details of the service affection to the Submarine Engineering Team and fillow their instructions
Requirements:
HNC or above in Engineering or Relevant technical experience
Minimum of 3 years experience on submarine
High customer focused individual who is self- driven towards defined goals
Minimum of 3 years of experience in submarine telecommunications field or Network operations environment demonstrating a strong background in transmission platform builds
with a clear understanding of the technologies used within Vodafone
Proven ability to investigate problem situations, consider key perspectives, analyse needs, evaluate options and define user requirements
Capable of working in virtual teams in cross cultural working environment and at times of heavier workload to drive solutions
Strong team player with proven record of achieving goals set
