The Student Services Executive role is customer facing, requiring good communication and interpersonal skills, projecting a friendly, open and professional manner at all times when representing the college. In this particular role, we are looking for someone who will focus more on accommodation and welfare as well as carrying out other day-to-day tasks as part of the team. The ideal candidate will be a caring and outgoing ‘people- person’ who enjoys being around our wonderful international students.
Job Responsibility:
Based at reception, greet all people entering the building in a friendly way and answer all e-mails and telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
Make yourself available throughout the day for questions and to deal with issues
Share your knowledge with students to help them make the most of their time
Meet new students on their first day as part of their induction and conduct satisfaction surveys
Keep the college database maintained and up to date with correct student details
Process bookings to enroll students, take payments, and send relevant documents to students
Keeping accurate, up–to-date records of all student accommodation bookings
Place students in host families, house shares, hotels, hostels and student residences
Help students with any issues that arise in any of the student accommodation
Send out accommodation information to students and agents when booked
Take responsibility for the welfare, safety and care of students at all times, extra duty of care is required for students under the age of 18
Make sure that all PCF and Private Accommodation Forms are collected in a timely manner and flag any concerns
Participate in the rota with the college team to provide emergency telephone support out of office hours (evenings and weekends)
Contact students with low attendance / students who have missed consecutive days
Support in creating and running activities for a diverse and fun social programme for all students
Requirements:
Experience of working with individuals & groups of international students taking part in education programmes
Experience of safeguarding children and best practices
An undergraduate degree and welfare qualification
