The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced or Lead Structures & Payload Design Engineer to join the Design CenterSouth located in Huntsville, Alabama, Titusville, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana or Houston, Texas. This position will focus on the structural design and product definition for Boeing platforms to include space vehicles, launch systems and payloads, commercial aircraft, UAV, ground vehicles, and various defense industry platforms and products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Structural design and model-based product definition using 3D CAD
  • Product data management systems
  • Interpreting customer requirements into complying with product designs
  • Drawing generation and release

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experienced, level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Lead, Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9+ years of design experience, preferably with modern aerospace or defense industry platforms
  • 2 years of experience with Creo, Catia or NX CAD software
