Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities Working environment includes office and workshop teams, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders from other functions The position holder is responsible for all structural test engineering activities within AirPower, covering new, legacy programs and other Airbus needs. The person will act as technical approver for the above mentioned disciplines and packages. The structural test subdomain includes static and fatigue tests, damage tolerance, stiffeness, bird impact, calibration for in-flight load measurement and dynamic tests. Ensure workload and resource management including subcontracting. Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant testing principles, processes and methods. Define, support, execute, analyse and validate tests On Time, On Cost and On Quality. Support the structural design and structural analysis department during the development and maintenance life-cycle. Liaise with the relevant stakeholder in the Airbus Defence and Space Airpower Design Organization, such as Airworthiness, Safety, Chief Engineering Interface with other center of competences and engineering functions as design, loads, flight physics, manufacturing, material and processes, systems, etc Support to manufacturing and services Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency Responsible for the acquisition process for the domain perimeter with technical advice Preparation of internal project proposals for the respective time, cost and resource expenditure in the given area of responsibility. Monitoring adherence to planning targets and taking countermeasures in the event of plan/actual variances Risk assessment for proposed projects for the purpose of analysing feasibility Be capable of leading multiprogram/multidisciplinary activities Identification of technology needs, acquisition and implementation of relevant projects in line with the division´s technology roadmaps Contributing to work in a modern and digital working environment within the subdomain Work in a transnational environment in and outside of the airframe center of competence Skills and Qualifications Master in aeronautical engineer (telecommunications or industrial could be considered) Dynamic and proactive profile with experience in structural analysis of airframe components, including fatigue analysis Knowledge in general and design details of airframe and systems Metallic and composite materials behavior knowledge Knowledge in Structure Certification Processes Deep knowledge in Test Means and laboratory systems Knowledge in instrumentation means (sensors, sensing technologies, calibration procedures) Organization & Team-working skills Autonomous and structured way of working and team player Fluent English and Spanish language (German is a plus) Knowledge on Procurement, Finance, Export Control and Programme Management is a plus This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
