Strategic Purchaser

• Manage sourcing activities in the category of Professional Services with a focus on services procurement (i.e., strategy and operations consulting, expert advisory, project management support)
• Assess business requests, specify demand and deliverables, execute defined procurement activities to ensure a timely start of the project
• Drive strategic and tactical sourcing initiatives incl. selection of potential suppliers, coordination of RFPs, assessment of proposals, negotiation of commercial terms
• Execute contracting activities incl. coordination of contract extension cycles, alignment with stakeholders, amendment of contract documents
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance and legal teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives
• Manage the relationship with selected preferred suppliers to ensure adherence with company requirements and expectations throughout the lifecycle of the engagement
• Monitor deliverables expectations, track performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Consult and support both internal and external stakeholders in all procurement related matters incl. process training and problem resolution
• Support implementing and executing the Procurement strategy for the Professional Services incl. active supplier consolidation, central sourcing initiative steering, global process standardization
• Collaborate with key stakeholders incl. senior management, functional departments and procurement colleagues on a local and global level
• Coordinate change requests, monitor contract cycles and savings initiatives and support system-supported RFQ processes.

• University Degree
• 5 years+ of work experience in Procurement, Contract/ Supplier Management, specialization in Services and Consulting Procurement would be a plus
• Experience in project management, direct negotiation and contract management
• Strong understanding of Procurement processes, specifically strategic sourcing
• Customer-first and service-oriented mindset with the ability to build relationships
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Self-starter: solution orientated with a high level of autonomy and proactivity
• Proficient in the common MS-Office programs
• Fluent English written and spoken (any other language is a plus).
