Job Description:

Store Supervisor position in the culinary department at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, responsible for inventory management, stock control, and supporting kitchen operations

Job Responsibility:

Monitor and maintain inventory levels of kitchen food and supplies to support daily operations
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records
Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock to minimize waste and spoilage
Supervise the organization and cleanliness of storerooms and storage areas in compliance with hygiene standards
Label and categorize items systematically for efficient access and tracking
Train staff on proper handling, storage and inventory procedures to maintain consistency and safety
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory, purchases and usage for reporting and audit purposes
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to align inventory with menu planning and operational needs
Support kitchen operations by ensuring timely availability of ingredients and supplies

Requirements:

Certificate or Diploma in storekeeping, inventory management, or hospitality operations is an advantage
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or resort kitchen environment
Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, and procurement processes
Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with kitchen and procurement teams
Ability to lead and train a small team effectively
Physically fit to handle stock movement and storage tasks
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
