Job Description:

Steward position at Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, operating cleaning equipment, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper sanitation standards while supporting the food and beverage team.

Job Responsibility:

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Receive deliveries and store perishables properly
Rotate stock
Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in 3-compartment sink
Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items
Rack and spray items with hot water to remove food residue
Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
Breakdown dirty bus tubs
Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
Clean and mop all assigned areas
Dispose of glass properly
Break down cardboard boxes and manage recyclables

Requirements:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
No related work experience required
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
