As a Station Contract Manager at Hartlepool, you’ll use your expertise to lead the commercial management of allocated contracts.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the commercial management of allocated contracts
Conduct supplier appraisal, develop specifications, prepare and assess tenders, handle negotiations, place contracts and manage claims
Hold and manage the contract expenditure budget on behalf of the Station
Act as the focal and single point of instruction between EDF Energy and the contractor
Ensure all activities align with agreed safety and environmental standards
Support delivery of a controlled and stable supply chain through application of agreed procurement strategies
Provide commercial leadership for allocated contracts
Ensure value for money by overseeing supplier appraisals, supporting development of specifications and managing tender activity
Maintain oversight of contract performance
Coordinate, manage and report contractor activity in line with safety, quality, delivery and cost targets
Identify, understand and manage commercial risks
Seek support from central organisation to minimise company’s risk exposure where needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in contract management and supplier negotiations
Strong results focus
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Leadership or mentoring experience is desirable
Sound understanding of nuclear safety policy and legislation is beneficial
Minimum of an HNC or equivalent in a technical or business discipline
Must meet criteria for Security Vetting (typically requires UK residency for at least three of the past five years)
