Job Description:

The Stage Technician performs a variety of technical duties associated with the set-up, strike, operation, and maintenance of lighting, sound, video, and rigging equipment. The Stage Technician provides technical support to a diversity of performing arts forms: including dance, drama, music, opera, and spectacle. Assignments for the Stage Technician will vary depending upon the production and they may work in coordination with other technical personnel on specific shows. Work can include assembly, operation, and dismantle of productions designed for multiple venue installations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Arrange, operate, and maintain lighting, sound, video, and rigging equipment
  • Assist with facility maintenance, setups, and strikes
  • Support facility and office functions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • One year of technical theater or other relevant work experience is required
