Job Description:

As a Lighting Engineer, you will add magic to performances through the creative use of lighting. You will be responsible for the set up and operation of lighting systems for our jam packed entertainments programme and will assist in the creative design and delivery for some of our shows. You will also work closely with artists, performers and the wider Technical Team to ensure our entertainment continues to delight our guests and create memories that last a lifetime. Your expertise in lighting will help bring our shows to life—adding atmosphere, emotion, and a touch of magic to every performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set up and operation of lighting systems for entertainments programme
  • Assist in the creative design and delivery for some shows
  • Work closely with artists, performers and the wider Technical Team
  • Basic system maintenance and repair if required
  • Contribute creatively to the design and execution of lighting for live performances

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Lighting Engineer
  • Working knowledge of various lighting consoles (Avolites and MA Lighting preferable)
  • Experience with different genres of entertainment (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to think on your feet and have a solution minded approach
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Strong knowledge of intelligent lighting fixtures, rigging and suspension
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Happy to share creative ideas and work closely with the wider team

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience with MA lighting consoles
  • Experience with different genres of entertainment
