The Staffing Office Onboarding Lead is a critical operations management role responsible for leading and developing a professional team, driving performance excellence, and spearheading transformative initiatives within the onboarding function. This role requires an in-depth understanding of how various operational areas integrate to contribute to the overall objectives of the Staffing Office and the broader organization. The successful candidate will apply deep disciplinary knowledge to provide value-added perspectives, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure robust risk and control frameworks are maintained. Strong communication, diplomacy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day operational activities within the Staffing Office Onboarding unit
Provide comprehensive people management, fostering a high-performance culture
Establish clear, measurable team goals that align with Citi's performance management structure
Drive motivation and professional development for team members
Monitor and ensure the timeliness and efficiency of all onboarding operational activities
Implement and enforce robust performance management strategies
Establish and lead efforts for the standardization of operational processes and procedures
Actively identify, champion, and implement continuous process improvement opportunities
Address system issues proactively with System Operations (System Ops) and Global Functions Technology (GFT) partners
Maintain and regularly update comprehensive operating and desktop procedure manuals
Partner closely with HR Control & Compliance (HRCC), Staffing Office Oversight, Policy Owners and Legal teams to ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and co-employment laws
Proactively identify and ensure that corrective actions are swiftly implemented for all control-related issues
Ensure the implementation and continuous adherence to strong operational controls
Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions
Effectively supervise the activity of others and foster accountability with those who fail to maintain established standards and policies
Liaise with sourcing teams, legal departments, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure all audit guidelines are met
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members
Assist the Business Unit Head in accommodating complex requests related to the business unit
Requirements:
5-10 years of progressive experience in operations management
Demonstrated experience in managing and developing professional teams
Proven background in project administration, operational process design
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management
Strong teamwork and organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex operational and systemic issues
Must be able to write, read and Speak English fluently
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
