Staff Software Engineer - Data Platform

• Take on a large amount of scope and act independently by working in partnership with engineering, product, analyst, and operations platform users to identify requirements and priorities, and map out solutions for challenging technology and workflow problems
• Make Addepar’s Data Lakehouse the central financial data hub at Addepar by establishing integrations across all of our infrastructure and systems in multiple geographic regions
• Build out and scale a green-field complementary messaging layer that works side-by-side with the lakehouse and facilitates more complex workflows on the platform
• Act as a technical lead in Singapore partnering with several high-performing teams of engineers who can design, develop, and deploy data lakehouse solutions, empowering anyone from all ranges of technical experience at Addepar who want to build on our platforms

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience in data platform development and management
• Strong foundation in distributed processing patterns, cloud infrastructure, and data modeling
• Comfortable working in a cloud context, with automated infrastructure and service-oriented architecture
• Practical knowledge of agile practices
• Experience with PySpark on Databricks for distributed data processing tasks
• Experience with PostgresSQL for serving & scaling access to data
• Experience with terraform for managing AWS infrastructure
• Experience with Python or Java for serverless AWS lambda-based utilities or custom micro-services
• Legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment
