As a Staff Software Developer, you will work on Robinhood’s tokenization engine, collaborating across six external teams—including trading engine, equity metadata, user portfolio, equity market data, and crypto custody. You’ll design and scale distributed systems to power the future of asset trading.
Job Responsibility:
Build scalable systems and components, balancing stability and long-term maintainability
Design, implement, test, and release critical technical solutions with high engineering standards
Lead projects of large complexity and mentor junior developers within the team
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver technically sound and high-impact work
Continuously identify ways to improve system performance, reduce risk, and boost team efficiency
Requirements:
10+ years of software development experience in a high-paced environment
3+ years of hands-on experience with low-latency, large-scale distributed systems
Strong proficiency in Go or Python, with excellent problem-solving and production debugging skills
Deep ownership mindset and experience building and operating large-scale systems end-to-end
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams
Proven experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives
