As a Staff Platform Engineer at Cloudera Taikun, you will manage and maintain the Taikun Managed Apps Catalog. You will gather, package, and update Helm charts for various applications, ensure they meet our quality and security standards, and integrate them seamlessly into the Taikun platform. Your work will directly impact the experience of customers deploying applications through Taikun.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gather and maintain Helm charts for applications in the Taikun Managed Apps Catalog
  • Update and test Helm charts to ensure compatibility, reliability, and security
  • Integrate applications into the Taikun platform, ensuring smooth deployment workflows
  • Collaborate with backend and platform teams to improve app management processes
  • Monitor upstream application changes and keep catalog entries up to date
  • Document app integration processes and best practices
  • Work closely with QA to verify application deployments in different environments

Requirements:

  • 6+ years proven experience with Kubernetes and Helm
  • Strong understanding of application packaging and deployment in cloud-native environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for maintaining and testing Helm charts
  • Solid Linux skills and experience working with containerized applications
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Bsc/MSc in related field or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with GitOps workflows (Flux, Argo CD)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
  • Familiarity with security scanning tools for container images and Helm charts
