Job Description:

Staff Pharmacist role at CVS Health focused on transforming health care, helping people navigate the health care system, improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. The pharmacist acts as a role model, demonstrates genuine care, and sets the bar for the pharmacy team while delivering safe and appropriate patient care.

Job Responsibility:

Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap
Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care
Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Lifting, scanning, and bagging items
Reaching overhead and grasping items
Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing
Extending hands and arms multiple directions
Control precision for machine adjustment
Stooping and bending
Close visual acuity for transcribing, computer work, reading
Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally
Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
