Job Description:

CVS Health seeks a Staff Pharmacist to play a key role in delivering healthcare services by improving patient access, managing pharmacy operations, and cultivating a culture of excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing pharmacy performance measures through coaching and follow-up of pharmacy team members
Strengthening pharmacy operations
Collaborating with patients’ healthcare teams
Resolving medication and insurance issues
Delivering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory
Protecting cold chain products
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing pharmacy schedules
Expanding clinical skills and knowledge
Supporting pharmacist-delivered clinical care
Complying with regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people
Notice and understand patients’ reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
Close visual acuity for detailed tasks
Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
Consistently lift or exert negligible weight
Receive detailed information through oral communication.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
