Job Description:

We are offering a short term contract fully on-site employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be handling a range of accounting tasks, including AP, AR, and GL reconciliations, as well as managing some manual processes.

Job Responsibility:

Managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Creating and posting journal entries to the General Ledger
Ensuring accuracy of general ledger accounts through regular reconciliations
Assisting in light grant management tasks
Utilizing financial software such as SAP for various accounting tasks

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
Experience in preparing Journal Entries and ensuring accuracy of financial statements
Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting software for managing and analyzing financial data
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
