Job Responsibility:

  • Assignments are generally under the direction of a licensed professional or nurse
  • provides patient care by performing basic procedures and selected specialized procedures that contribute to the well-being, comfort and safety of patients
  • May perform technical procedures and report findings to clinical staff
  • Tasks may include performing venipuncture for blood samples, performing EKGs, placing electrodes and obtaining telemetry readings
  • Collects specimens, performs basic tests or sends specimens to appropriate laboratory for analysis per Hospital policies
  • Candidates must be available for rotating shifts, and every other weekend and holiday

Requirements:

  • Requires high school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in health care delivery in positions such as: Nursing Assistant
  • Home Health Aide
  • EMT
  • Medic/Corps Person
  • or two clinical semesters completed as a Nursing Student Related academic study
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
