Job Description:

The Senior Tester at NTT DATA will be responsible for ensuring the quality of data migration and integration projects. This role requires expertise in ETL and Informatica, along with strong SQL skills. The candidate will define test strategies, execute test cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data integrity. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with a focus on quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Requirements analysis: Understanding the functional requirements for data migration and integration projects, and performing traceability and gap analysis
  • Test planning and strategy: Defining the overall test strategy, designing test plans, and creating detailed test cases and scripts based on functional and technical specifications
  • Test data management: Validating and manipulating test data to meet specific testing requirements
  • Test execution: Executing manual or automated test cases to validate the ETL process. This includes verifying data integrity, accuracy, and completeness
  • Regression testing: Implementing and executing regression test suites to ensure that new code or changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
  • Defect management: Diagnosing problems, reporting defects with clear and detailed documentation, and tracking them through resolution
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and data architects, to understand data flows and resolve issues
  • Reporting: Communicating test progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 8+ ETL expertise: Solid experience and a deep understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles
  • 5+ Informatica proficiency: Hands-on experience with Informatica tools, such as PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS), or Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
  • 5+ Strong SQL skills: Ability to write and debug complex SQL queries for data validation and extraction
  • 2+ Programming/scripting: Experience with scripting languages like Python is often required for test automation
