The Sr Merchandising Strategy Manager plays an integral role in driving world-class merchandising experience strategies across T-Mobile’s store portfolio. This role includes strategy development, execution alignment, cross-functional collaboration, and innovative experience opportunities. Responsibilities include long-term roadmap creation, handling initiative intake, strategy communication, and campaign performance analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Develop merchandising strategy and roadmap for specific business lines and initiatives
Create the detailed strategic merchandising briefs and tactical documents to gain leadership and cross-functional alignment
Key POC/relationship owner with internal business groups with a focus on retail storytelling and in-store marketing needs, product and service launches, and prioritization
Create roadmap for merchandising storytelling initiatives with an eye towards long term objectives
Ensure strategic support for near term business driving initiatives and quick turn requests
Guides cross-functional team to proactively find innovative merchandising experience opportunities and owns subsequent strategic solutions that differentiates experience by store type to enable seamless support of new initiatives
Kick off internal teams to deliver on merchandising strategic initiative
Remain point-of-contact throughout development to ensure the project or campaign remains on strategy
Represent Retail Merchandising strategy in all cross-functional Marketing and Go to Market meetings
Partner with Merchandising Project Managers to ensure understanding of scope and timeline needs
Represents Merch Strategy POV on all execution trade off decisions and alignment with leadership
Ensures that cross functional teams have identified detailed options, all corresponding risks have been identified and evaluated and solutions are properly selected
Participates in regular status meetings to ensure in-progress work is tracking
Hold team accountable for delivering on the strategy with minimal direction
Proactive creates merchandising campaign performance analysis recaps and recommendations for modifications and/or future strategies
Prepare Merchandising Strategy communications and provide status for projects to internal customers and Marketing
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Product Management, or related field
Experience in a technology focused marketing or merchandising strategy development space preferred
2-4 Years: Analytical experience preferred
Ability to communicate with leaders to specific outcomes
Ability to lead cross functional teams
Proactive in anticipating and preempting potential problems
