Job Description:

The Sponsorship Compliance Administrator is responsible for supporting the organisation’s compliance with UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship requirements and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulatory standards. The role ensures that sponsored workers are managed in line with Home Office sponsor duties, employment legislation, and CQC expectations, helping to protect the organisation’s Sponsor Licence and regulatory standing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support compliance with Home Office Skilled Worker sponsor duties
  • Assist in the administration of Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), including assignments, extensions, and changes
  • Monitor sponsored workers’ visa status, right to work, working hours, and role alignment
  • Track visa expiry dates, contract end dates, and reporting deadlines
  • Report relevant changes via the Sponsor Management System (SMS) in line with Home Office timescales
  • Maintain accurate and auditable sponsorship records
  • Ensure sponsorship files meet Home Office audit standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times
  • Support compliance with CQC regulations related to staffing, recruitment, and fitness of workers
  • Ensure sponsored staff meet role requirements, qualifications, and training standards
  • Support CQC inspections by providing evidence relating to sponsored workers
  • Monitor attendance, absences, and role changes for sponsored employees
  • Escalate potential breaches of sponsor or CQC requirements
  • Prepare internal compliance reports for senior management
  • Assist with Home Office compliance visits and audits
  • Act as a point of contact for sponsored workers on visa-related queries
  • Provide guidance to managers on sponsorship and compliance obligations
  • Liaise with external advisors, the Home Office, and regulatory bodies as required
  • Support the development and review of sponsorship and recruitment policies
  • Stay up to date with changes to UK immigration rules and CQC guidance
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen sponsorship and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

  • Experience in UK visa sponsorship administration or compliance
  • Knowledge of Home Office sponsor duties and Skilled Worker routes
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (health or social care preferred)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Strong understanding of UK Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and regulatory standards
  • Confident using HR systems and the Sponsor Management System (SMS)
