Job Description:

HammondCare North Turramurra is currently looking for several Permanent, Part-Time Specialised Carers to join our team in a new Specialised Dementia Care Lodge. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity passionate about improving the quality of care for people in need. This role involves providing evidence-based and personalised care to elderly residents, engaging with their families, and performing personal care duties.

Job Responsibility:

Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, dressing, pad changes
Domestic assistance - meals, basic cleaning and laundry
Engagement with the residents and family members, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do
Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.

Requirements:

Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Aged Care/Dementia Care
Have knowledge of complex dementia care including challenging behaviours
Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably.
