Job Description:

HammondCare Miranda is currently looking for Permanent Part-time Carers to join our team. Our Cottage style homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia. You will be running the cottage like a home, which will include personal care, domestic assistance, and engaging with the residents. All new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site.

Job Responsibility:

Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, dressing
Domestic assistance - cooking, cleaning and laundry
Engaging with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do
Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies

Requirements:

Unlimited work rights highly regarded
Experience is essential
Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & want to make a difference in their lives
Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably

Nice to have:

Student Visa may not be eligible for rosters available due to hour restrictions
