Job Description:

Affinity Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for support staff to work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or within classroom environments across Luton schools. These roles are available to start immediately and will continue through the academic year, with potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Play a key role in helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure tailored support is in place
  • Lead engaging activities that promote well-being and inclusion

Requirements:

  • Excited about working with children and being creative
  • Experience managing a class in the absence of the class Teacher
  • Confident managing children’s behaviour
  • Emotionally resilient
  • An approachable, friendly character
  • Aware or have experience of supporting children and adults with additional needs

Nice to have:

  • Can offer previous experience with mental health in a supporting capacity
  • A knowledge or understanding of SEN/SEMH
  • A confident approach to working with children
  • An educational background
  • An enthusiasm to learn, sense of humour and develop professionally
  • An enhanced DBS Affinity Workforce can assist with this
