Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and controlling the activities of a designated sourcing unit based on commercial and development strategies
  • Negotiating the best possible prices for merchandise in conjunction with the global buying teams
  • Evaluating local and international markets to recommend the best sources for products or categories
  • Ensuring all order standards are met and handling any difficult situations with manufacturers
  • Overseeing and visiting manufacturers, factories, and overseas agents as required
  • Guaranteeing that all potential new vendors and factories can meet the company’s standards for social compliance and security programs

Requirements:

  • University graduate
  • At least 3 years of experience working for a buying office, agent, or well-known importer that serves the U.S. market
  • Proven experience as a specialist in sweater or woven within the U.S., Canada, U.K. or E.U. retail markets
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is essential
  • Strong understanding of buying office operations, manufacturing principles, materials, and international logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset
