The Solutions Engineer I provide detailed support to project teams and development personnel as functional needs are mapped to existing standardized platforms and development patterns that allow faster delivery with consistent support and operational stability. Expertise in technical and business functions will guide rapid design of solutions for new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Responsible for devising strategies that reduce time to delivery, design best practices, and cost reductions.
Job Responsibility:
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Ensure proper translation of the client's needs into technology solutions
Review documents, including project charters, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and high-level designs to ensure use for implementation
Interface with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure that the most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs
Provide inputs into functional and technical design with respect to resiliency, scalability, and supportability
Ensure effective coordination and support between business owners and supporting technical resources
Prepare statements of work (SOW's) leveraging standard IT infrastructure service offerings
Ensure that proposed solutions meet the needs and functional requirements of the business
Participate in the technical implementation of the service request
Manage individual work to ensure platforms continue to adhere to performance and Service Level Objectives
Assist in the development of technical documentation which includes architectural and connectivity diagrams
Assist in Technical Competency across diverse technologies (presentation, application/middleware, and database) through informal training
Maintain a level of confidence and positive customer relationships
Conduct performance analysis of existing systems to identify any performance, functional or security issues. Document the recommended steps for remediation of the issues
Requirements:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
An expect understanding of infrastructure technologies and concepts preferred
Ability to demonstrate lateral thinking required to solve complex technical problems
Demonstrate strong business acumen and deep understanding of client's IT related business goals and challenges
Ability to collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
experience working with others on a global basis
Ability to build consensus across interdisciplinary environments (across technical teams, across client domains)
Demonstrated knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols, and network topology
Demonstrated knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model
Demonstrated knowledge of application designing patterns and data flow diagrams
Demonstrated knowledge of web server / load balancer platforms (Apache, Microsoft IIS, Nginx, F5 networks, A10 networks, etc.)
