Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Software Engineering Manager to lead our Core Services Engineering team. This team is the engine of our marketplace—designing, building, and operating the mission-critical backend APIs and shared services that power our web, mobile, and customer experience applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and develop a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, focusing on career growth, technical excellence, and a 'how-results-are-achieved' culture
  • Guide the design and implementation of high-volume, transactional backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
  • Own the reliability of core platform services. Drive observability practices (Datadog/APM), define SLAs/SLOs, and lead incident response
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define the roadmap for revenue-critical services like order management and payment processing
  • Actively leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools, to optimize workflows and enhance system performance

Requirements:

  • Deep fluency in modern Java and Spring Boot frameworks
  • Proven experience building and deploying scalable services on AWS (RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
  • Experience managing high-volume, transactional data stores (MySQL, Snowflake, or similar)
  • Experience leading Agile teams, conducting code reviews, and proposing architectural solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong background in monitoring and alerting (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) to ensure 24/7 system reliability
  • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into business impact for non-technical stakeholders
