Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services in Java/Kotlin that power client-facing applications for trading, custody, and wealth management
  • Build robust APIs and microservices to support advanced dashboards, analytics tools, and mobile experiences
  • Collaborate closely with front-end engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless, intuitive experiences for sophisticated investors
  • Architect solutions for portfolio management, trade execution, settlement, reporting, and analytics tailored to institutional and private clients
  • Optimize backend systems for low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance
  • Integrate security best practices and advanced encryption to safeguard sensitive financial data
  • Continuously improve backend performance, reliability, and development workflows

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin in backend and distributed systems development
  • Proven expertise building scalable APIs, microservices, and backend platforms for complex financial or data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with cloud deployments, and service-oriented architectures
  • Knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies (NATS, Kafka, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, databases, and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of ledger systems is a strong plus
  • Passion for solving challenging technical and financial problems with clean, maintainable code
  • Commitment to quality-driven engineering, with a strong focus on testing (unit, integration, performance, and failure recovery)
