We are looking for an experienced Software Application Architect to join our dynamic team in one of our North Carolina offices. This is contract-to-hire position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions within the healthcare industry. You will play a key role in advancing healthcare innovation, leveraging modern technologies to create secure, high-performance applications and services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement complex software architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Lead the development of web applications, web services, and platform solutions using Java/Linux-based technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to explore new technologies and validate design approaches
  • Establish coding standards and guidelines, ensuring adherence across development teams
  • Mentor and support team members in adopting new technologies and best practices
  • Drive innovation by proposing and implementing modern frameworks for container, cloud, and serverless solutions

  • Communicate architectural decisions and complex concepts to stakeholders, including executives and business representatives
  • Oversee multiple projects, coordinating efforts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in software development and design, particularly with Java Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, containerization, and serverless frameworks specifically with AWS
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, including Scrum, for managing development cycles
  • Proficiency in SQL and database integration
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and innovation
  • Solid understanding of coding best practices and quality standards
  • Experience in the healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable
