You'll be working directly with courts, providing crucial support and supervision to individuals involved in the justice system. This role is a chance to use your expertise to help people turn their lives around and contribute to a safer community.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and present reports to the Sheriff Court, including Criminal Justice Social Work Reports (CJSWRs) and other relevant assessments
Provide supervision and support to individuals on statutory orders, such as Community Payback Orders and Drug Treatment and Testing Orders
Manage a diverse caseload, assessing risk and need, and developing intervention plans
Liaise with a wide range of partners, including police, courts, prisons, and third-sector organisations
Advocate for individuals, ensuring their rights are protected and their needs are met throughout the legal process
Requirements:
A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
