Job Description:

Are you passionate about IT, experienced in software development techniques and convinced by the business added value of digitalization? Airbus is looking for Python Developers/Typescript developers to join in Bangalore, India. One key component of this Digital Transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its Division and to make the best use of Data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization. The data-value chain encompasses solutions to create, capture, connect, ingest, transport, process, expose and visualize data, data coming from Airbus, Customers (Airlines), Aircrafts (in-flight data), Suppliers and other Third-party entities. Challenges are numerous and exciting!

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for designing and building solutions for Airbus on foundry that involve: Data engineering & integration
  • Data analysis & visualization
  • Application development within Skywise Framework
  • Working closely with Product Owners & core Airbus business functions to understand processes, capture requirements and work on solving business problems by leveraging the data generated throughout the business process
  • Involvement in the full delivery lifecycle – responsible for designing, implementing, testing, documenting, supporting the applications
  • Developing, updating and use CI/CD pipeline to allow fully automated deployments of applications across all environments from Development, Q&A and Production
  • Troubleshooting application issues and handling incidents / requests on the same
  • Responsible for providing support on the developed tools

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate or Graduate in Information Technology or equivalent with 1-5 years of Software Development experience
  • Strong understanding of software development, design concepts and principles
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining applications at scale for end to end implementation
  • Advanced Knowledge on programming languages and technical skills like Python, Pyspark, SQL, Typescript, HTML & CSS
  • Experience with developing complete stacks: backend in pyspark and front-end in / Javascript / Typescript
  • Knowledge & experience of Skywise fundamentals: Code repository, data lineage, pipeline builder, Access management, Slate, Workshop, Ontology Manager etc
  • Strong knowledge of concepts like REST, Big data architecture
  • Knowledge on some of the following products/tools: Artifactory, GitHub, VersionOne/Jira/Confluence, etc.
  • Experience on test-driven development
  • Awareness on working in SAFe, Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge with Cloud platform AWS is good to have
  • Knowledge with Palantir Foundry platform is a bonus: building and deploying solutions
  • Hands on knowledge of Generative AI prompt engineering is a plus
  • Specific Foundry Skills: Ontology Manager, Code Authoring / Pipeline builder, Contour, Workshop, Slate
