As a Site Superintendent at Kiwi Newton Construction LLC, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing daily field operations and ensuring construction projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents. Working closely with project managers, quality control personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and owners, you will take ownership of all on-site construction activities—from mobilization and site layout through final inspections and project close-out. Job Responsibility:
Maintain a safe working site that meets all company policies and legal safety standards
Promote job site safety, conduct safety orientations for contractors, and immediately correct hazards
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities and field personnel
Direct subcontractors and field staff to ensure completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications
Perform and maintain all site and building layout
Pre-plan and sequence construction activities to ensure seamless adherence to the project schedule
Communicate consistently with the Project Management team regarding schedule, site conditions, and progress updates
Plan, coordinate, and lead bi-weekly subcontractor progress meetings, including recording and distributing meeting minutes
Review and verify subcontractor pay applications based on actual work completed
Review and verify submittals to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
Read and fully comprehend structural, architectural, and civil drawings
Maintain organized on-site documentation including daily work reports, delivery slips, receipts, and weekly look-ahead schedules
Follow company purchasing procedures when ordering or receiving materials and equipment
Maintain an organized job site and field office
Foster and maintain positive, respectful working relationships with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of commercial project experience
Procore experience required
knowledge of Sage Timberline considered an asset
Self-starting, highly motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or equivalent combination of technical training and commercial construction experience
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health certification preferred
Valid U.S. driver’s license required
Strong ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of construction equipment, building materials, construction techniques, and applicable standards
Strong organizational skills with a systematic approach to tasks and documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong listening abilities
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, timely decisions
Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills
ability to manage diverse personalities while being a team player
Excellent attention to detail with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship
Professional and technical competence in field operations
