Job Description:

As Showroom Consultant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: being an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs, actively approaching customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them, supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop, following up on customers after initial planning appointments, via phone call to discuss their kitchen designs, answer questions, and address any concerns, ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced, building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and staying knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs
Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them
Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey
Following up on customers after initial planning appointments, via phone call to discuss their kitchen designs, answer questions, and address any concerns
Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced
Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment
Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits

Requirements:

Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the furniture, colour consulting or high-value items retail industry
A passion for home furnishings and a keen eye for quality, maintaining a strong level of product knowledge and a love for sharing the IKEA range with customers
A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable and positive shopping experience
An authentic approach to generating sales, paired with a professional, self-motivated attitude towards achieving sales targets and KPIs
Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong problem-solving abilities to navigate customer needs
A ‘Togetherness’ mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with your team
Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn the technical aspects of the IKEA range and digital planning tools
A safe and adaptable approach to physical tasks, including manual handling, repetitive movements, and lifting
