Shared Lives Carer

Jill and Debbie have many years’ experience of living and working with people. They have six grown up children and a couple of grandchildren between them who are often visiting and joining in with family activities. They have supported various people through Shared Lives and now have a vacancy again. Debbie works with young people from many different backgrounds in supported living. She has a manager role so is usually working from home (usually working away from home twice a week). Jill was working as a chef but is also working shifts in Supported Living setting as well. There can be some periods throughout the day where both Jill and Debbie are out, but can make sure one of them is available to support with appointments etc as needed. Jill and Debbie enjoy being active and doing outdoor activities. They have two dogs a Rhodesian ridgeback called Sky and a miniature Schnauzer called Bertie, who they take for walks every day. There daughters dog Bella a black labs also occasionally stays. They live in a new build in Alphington on a quiet street. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, downstairs toilet and lounge with patio doors onto the garden. The available bedroom is on the first floor, next to the bathroom and Debbie’s office. The Carers bedrooms upstairs on the top floor.
