Job Description:

To carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems. To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date. To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to. To ensure compliance with the GFS management system as it applies to this position.

Job Responsibility:

  • To carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems
  • To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date
  • To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
  • To ensure compliance with the GFS management system as it applies to this position
  • To carry out fire extinguisher and Ansul fire suppression system servicing and remedials at various sites such as restaurants and hotels
  • Providing a good level of customer service and professional manner at all times
  • Arranging your own diary and booking in appointments with clients
  • Completing paperwork and reports to be sent back in a timely manner
  • Take part in the on call rota alongside your colleagues
  • To ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety
  • To monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment. Record inspection reports
  • To keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work
  • To have working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems
  • Qualifications to service fire extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems in accordance with British Standards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices
  • Strong customer care focus
  • Be proactive and capable of anticipating potential faults
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg

Nice to have:

  • Experience of Ansul R102 systems
  • Experience of servicing extinguishers
  • Experience of another suppression/sprinkler system
  • Experience in BT/Sky installations
  • Experience as a chef and understanding how these systems operate and how a kitchen is managed
