Service Business Manager is a customer facing sales role who reports into the Customer Experience division of HPE Networking. A Service Business Manager is the responsible and accountable for any Service Sales Achievement and Revenue within the respective area of coverage. The Service Business Manager owns the execution of the services strategy and delivers the services sales targets, in line with the common vision of the organization and always maximizing Customer Success.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with the Account Manager to understand the customer and/or Partner service needs and craft relevant service solutions
Achieve the sales target and monitor revenue streams for the assigned territory, in Maintenance New Business and Renewals, Advanced Services, Professional Services, Educational Services and Subscriptions
Responsible for forecasting services sales achievement periodically
Communicate the Customer Experience area value proposition to end customers and partners
Own the services sales outcome and negotiate directly as required with Partners and end customers
Liaise with the service delivery functions to tailor the best solution for customers/partners
Accountable for services opportunity management, ensuring pipeline hygiene and regular updates on CRM and reporting systems
Responsible to maximise long-tail sales achievement by driving alignment with the chosen outsourced partners
Interact with the sales teams to drive on time renewals and maintenance at point of product sale
Evangelize the services portfolio strategy, goals, objectives to the sales and partner teams
Assist the sales organization on large RFQ/RFP bids by owning and driving the services solution part and response
Develop and own the service account plan aligned with the overall account plan strategy
Establish and continuously develop relationships with the largest partners and customers in the sector
Support Marketing leadership to structure the service campaigns
Support Services PLM in the development and positioning of innovative service programs
Participate in Operational/Business Reviews for delivery of support and services in region
Acts as an escalation point for the Sales Organization and the Partner ecosystem for customer satisfaction issues
Support the handover of the services sold to the relevant delivery organizations
Requirements:
University or Bachelor's degree preferred
Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer and higher level customer interface
Detailed knowledge of key customer types or customers on given products
Typically 3-5 years of experience in specialty sales
Excellent listening and communication skills
In depth knowledge about product, service, solution and differentiators between own offerings and competitor's offerings
Technical background about HPE solutions and relevant technology is a plus
Applies specialized technical product, service and solution knowledge in working with account teams to screen and prioritize multiple leads for feasibility
Use knowledge in specialty, and consultative selling skills, to proactively help customers with making IT business decisions
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions
Ability to establish strong and solid relationships with both internal (account teams) and external customers (account teams) and partners
Proven services sales skills, both in person and virtual
Business Development mindset
Ability to sell alongside the Product and Channel sales forces
Knowledge of the corresponding market vertical in which the SBM will operate
Negotiation and objection handling skills
Good Presentation skills
