Job Description:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests at Suzhou Marriott Hotel Taihu Lake. Set tables according to type of event and service standards, answer menu questions, communicate with kitchen staff, record transactions, ensure guest satisfaction, maintain cleanliness, and process payments.

Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
Set tables according to type of event and service standards
Answer questions on menu selections
Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions
Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass
Complete closing duties
Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
