As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing the SEO strategy of various client accounts. Working closely with the team, you will contribute to the enhancement of the visibility of our clients website and Google Maps listing. This role requires an understanding of SEO best practices, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibility:
Local Search Optimization
Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (GBP) for multiple locations
Improve local map pack rankings through strategic updates, category optimization, and posting
Keyword Research and Analysis
Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant search terms
Analyze keyword competitiveness and trends to inform content strategies
Perform audits and make strategic recommendations based on experience with the client
On-Page & Technical Local SEO
Collaborate with Content, Design, and Web Dev departments to optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headers, content, and user experience
Implement structured data for local businesses, services, and FAQs
Implement best practices for URL structures, user experience, content, internal linking, and other on-page factors
Work closely with the Web Dev team to address technical SEO issues and improvements
Conduct regular website audits to identify and rectify crawl errors, broken links, and other technical issues
Content Strategy
Assist in the development of content strategies that align with SEO goals
Optimize existing content for both search engines and user experience
Conduct local keyword research to identify ranking opportunities
Create or support content development for location-based blogs, ranking pages, and service pages
Develop localized strategies tailored to each market or region
Link Building
Implement and manage link-building strategies to enhance the website's authority
Identify and pursue opportunities for good back link strategy
Citation & Listings Management
Audit, build, and maintain accurate business listings across key directories
Ensure consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) information across platforms
Use tools such as BrightLocal or Agency Analytics to track listing performance
Performance Reporting & Analytics
Monitor and analyze key SEO performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO software
Prepare regular reports on SEO performance and recommend actionable insights
Track rankings, traffic, conversions, and local search performance
Provide reports with insights and recommendations
Use of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, GBP Insights, and SEO platforms
Competitor & Market Analysis
Analyze competitor local strategies and identify growth opportunities
Monitor local algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly
Stay Updated on Industry Trends
Stay informed about the latest trends, algorithms, and best practices in SEO
Proactively propose and implement new strategies to stay ahead of the competition
Requirements:
Proven experience in SEO with a focus on strategy and execution (2 to 4 years experience)
Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Strong written communication skills with attention to grammar and clarity
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Nice to have:
Experience with updating GBP citations
Proven experience creating backlinks for SEO health and optimization
