Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group/catering-related opportunities. Manages group/catering opportunities not handled by the Event Booking Center. Achieves personal and team-related revenue goals. Ensures proper service delivery for turned-over business. Focused on delivering service excellence and building customer loyalty. Partners with internal teams to provide customers with outstanding experiences. Supports brand standards, customer feedback initiatives, and the company’s relationship strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Identifies new group/catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
understands the overall market, competitors, economic trends, supply and demand
closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and needs
monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue
gains understanding of the customer’s needs
uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business
executes and supports the operational aspects of booked business
supports the company’s service and relationship strategy
provides excellent customer service
builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers
manages relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
