This Senior Vice President position is aligned to the Commercial Real Estate ICM-UW team, playing a critical role in supporting the CRE Financing business operating throughout APAC. The selected candidate must be able to evaluate complex and variable credit risk issues relating to a range of commercial real estate financing structures and transactions for a portfolio of strategic private equity and private credit investors active throughout various APAC geographies.
Job Responsibility:
Assist bankers and Underwriters in underwriting requests for credit extensions for new and existing clients and in the writing of annual reviews with focus on more complex and higher dollar exposure transactions
perform detailed financial analysis on companies, including trend and ratio analysis, and interpret the financial information
support business origination through the provision of timely and accurate financial analysis and recommendations regarding new transaction opportunities
make well-articulated recommendations on credit decisions, including risk ratings and regulatory classifications, to achieve consensus with deal teams and Risk approvers
support and confirm due diligence activities and preparation of credit memorandums during new deal origination
conduct in-depth analyses of financial data and other information, assessing deal strengths, weaknesses, and risk factors through research and evaluations
ensure credit approval packages are complete, accurate and thoroughly documented
conduct periodic credit monitoring reviews and update risk ratings and regulatory classifications
inform bankers and 2nd Line of Defense of any deterioration in operating performance based on financial reporting
verify data accuracy in collateral and facility records
support senior members of the ICM team in making recommendations and credit decisions.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
previous experience working in a financial institution with additional experience in a loan officer or underwriting role
advanced analytical skills including the ability to read and assess company financial statements, cash flow, industry and competitive analysis and projections
demonstrated knowledge of intermediate accounting theory and its practical application in the credit underwriting process
excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
effective written and verbal communication skills
problem recognition and resolution skills
ability to work autonomously and within a team
proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications including Excel and Word, and Moody's financial analysis software.
