Job Description:

CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Technologist – Optical Engineer, to join a global materials manufacturing company, based near Wigan, on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Responsibility:

Creating and enhancing automatic inspection systems from concept through to implementation
Providing novel and innovative solutions to complex inspection problems
Working with many packages from legacy systems through to high level programming languages
Partnering with R&D and production teams to identify and deliver instruments and process improvements safely and effectively
Providing both on-site and remote technical support, while upgrading and maintaining existing systems

Requirements:

Degree in a STEM subject
Minimum of 5 years' practical experience of inline and offline inspection systems and their practical applications
Experience of industrial metrology and precision measurement techniques
Experience of software development, including mathematical algorithm design, image processing, C#, C++, or other programming languages
Full UK Driving licence and access to your own transport
