Join us for the opportunity to lead our teaching team to inspire and engage learners in the importance of plants and conservation in the stunning Wakehurst landscape. Supported by our fully planned curriculum linked workshops and knowledgeable team, you can let nature do the talking away from the constraints of formal learning. Wakehurst Learning programme currently welcomes over 11,000 pupils from EYFS to KS5 from schools across the South- East and we are looking for an experienced leader to join our team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead our teaching team to inspire and engage learners in the importance of plants and conservation
  • Inspire a sense of awe and wonder for the natural world and a genuine curiosity to learn in young people

Requirements:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject such as biology, geography, education, the environment
  • Have a teaching qualification and significant experience of teaching and delivering science education programmes within the last three years
  • Have experience of working with a wide range of abilities and ages (Primary and Secondary)
  • Have a good working knowledge of plant biology, conservation, and the UK Science National Curriculum
  • An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role
