As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and efficiency within our global network landscape. Working alongside a team of dedicated engineers, you'll design and implement secure, reliable, and automated solutions that lay the foundation for IKEA's digital future. The Connectivity Services team is a small, autonomous group of six engineers collaborating across IKEA's connectivity landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement network automation using Python and tools like Ansible and AWX to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability
Drive end-to-end automation initiatives, ensuring services meet business goals and operational standards
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline service delivery and accelerate time-to-market
Lead by example in advanced network automation practices, enabling colleagues to adopt best-in-class techniques
Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement automated solutions where appropriate
Contribute to technical roadmaps and align automation efforts with stakeholders across teams and business units
Requirements:
Strong expertise in network automation with Ansible and Python
Extensive experience working with large-scale enterprise networks
Solid skills in AWX/Red Hat Automation Platform and API automation
Proficiency in Linux system administration
Hands-on experience with Git and version control
Practical experience with CI/CD toolchains and familiarity with Kubernetes/containers
Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including experience working across countries/functions
